Is it necessary to take supplements containing methylfolate rather than folic acid?


The answer is YES.

 

Around 30% people have the MTHFR gene defect globally, folic acid cant be absorbed by these people. So, it is necessary to them to use methylfolate which dont need metabolism and can be adsorbed directly.

 

Maybe someone confuse that whether should use methylfolate if they dont have the MTHFR gene defect. Certainly, we still recommend to use methylfolate.
